a deep exhale on the longest day
"And yet, to say the truth, reason and love keep little company together nowadays." β Midsummer
The summer solstice is the longest day of the year. The moment the light peaks before it slowly, gently begins to turn. Ancient cultures marked it with fire, flowers, and ritual β a recognition that some moments are too sacred to let pass without ceremony.
This is yours.
Come as you are. Leave as someone who remembered who they are.
What is Linger?
Linger is a special summer solstice edition of Breath & Bowls β a 90-minute healing journey that moves through somatic movement, conscious breathwork, and sound healing, closing with something a little magical.
This is not a yoga class. It's not a meditation app. It's an invitation to get back into your body, breathe what's been held, and surrender into the restorative frequencies of crystal bowls and chimes.
We live so much of our lives in our heads β replaying, planning, bracing. Tonight is about coming home.
The Evening
πΏ Somatic Movement β We open by dropping out of the head and into the body. Two songs. No choreography. Just permission to move.
π¬οΈ Breathwork β A guided journey to release what you've been carrying. Expect to feel something. That's the point.
πΆ Sound Healing β Lay back and receive. Crystal bowls, chimes, and drums wash over you while your nervous system remembers how to rest.
π A Love Letter to Yourself β We close with something tender. Guided, candlelit, and entirely your own. You'll write a letter to yourself β sealed and kept until the autumn equinox, when we gather again to open them together.
"I know a bank where the wild thyme blows... there sleeps Titania sometime of the night, lull'd in these flowers with dances and delights." β A Midsummer Night's Dream

For the curious minds β the science of breathwork
Breath is the only autonomic function in the body we can consciously control, and that makes it one of the most powerful tools we have for healing.
When we breathe intentionally, we directly influence our nervous system. Active, conscious breathwork activates the body's natural ability to release stored stress, emotion, and tension that lives in the tissues β the stuff talk therapy doesn't always reach. It increases oxygen flow, shifts brainwave states, and can produce profound states of clarity, release, and even joy.
On a physical level, breathwork regulates the stress response, lowers cortisol, and supports the vagus nerve β your body's built-in pathway to rest and safety.
Somatic movement works alongside the breath. Your body holds your story β and sometimes it just needs permission to let some of it go.
A note on safety
Active breathwork may not be suitable for everyone. Please consult your doctor before attending if you have:
Cardiovascular conditions
Epilepsy or history of seizures
Psychosis
Pregnancy
Recent surgery or serious physical injury
